Bango Mancha
Bango Mancha is a challenging board game for people who love numbers and math. Move your tiles from the bottom of the board into the home row at the top of the board. As you move, your tile's value changes. To get into the home row, you must restore each tile to its original value.
Information
The object of Bango Mancha is to get the yellow (“game”) tiles at the bottom of the board into the green “Home Row” at the top of the board.
Movement is accomplished by using the arrow keys. To move a tile, click on it with your mouse to select it, then use the arrow keys.
When you move a game tile, the face value of the game tile will change depending on the direction of movement. The movement “steals” the value of the adjacent board tile and uses it perform a mathematical operation on the selected game tile.
Up multiplies the game tile by the number on the brown (“board”) tile.
Down divides the game tile by the number on the board tile.
Right adds the game tile by the number on the board tile.
Left subtracts the game tile by the number on the board tile.
Each movement results in the board tile being zeroed out.
You can only move one tile space at a time.
To enter the Home Row, the mathematical operation resulting from the movement must restore the face value of the game tile to its original value. If the operation will not do this, movement into the Home Row will not be allowed. The display on the left of the board shows both the current and the original value of the selected tile.
You can change the values of the board tiles by selecting a particular tile, then using the arrow keys to perform operations on it. The arrow keys “steal” the value of the adjacent tile and use it to perform a mathematical operation on the selected tile. The adjacent tile will thus be zeroed out.
Movement will not be allowed in the following cases:
Division by zero.
Trying to divide zero.
The movement will result in a fraction or decimal.
The movement will result in a total of 500 or more.
You have three cherries and three bananas at the bottom of the board.
When you click a cherry, this temporarily reverses the mathematical operation that will be performed the next time you press an arrow key (i.e. Down becomes multiplication, Up becomes division, Right becomes subtraction, and Left becomes addition).
When you click a banana, you can select any board tile, and all the board tiles in that row will be “rejuvenated” with a fresh supply of numbers.
